junk drawer drum kit

For the past few months I've been challenging myself to create beat sketches completely from scratch. Whether starting with old drum recordings, random voice memos, or synthesizing sounds from scratch it didn't matter as long as I wasn't using sounds I had already polished and processed to death.

Here's the result, a small kit of drum one shots and loops sorted only by the day they were created rather than sound type. Each set of sounds were created to compliment each other and explore a different style or creative process. I normalized most of the samples but didn't try to polish away any of their imperfections or quirks.

I also included a few bonus sounds I created on the way, didn't know what else to do with them lol
